Section D of Area 14 “Migration and community” contains stories that tell the stories of Italian migrants who, thanks to their work, contributed to the social, cultural and political life of their countries of arrival became famous.
Living abroad means dealing with new customs, traditions and cultures. Getting to know the host society, with its characteristics which are often different from those we come from, is not easy, not least because of prejudice and racism. These difficulties did not and still do not prevent migrants from participating in the growth and cultural, scientific and economic development process of their countries of arrival.
